Yes. The wife is my cousin.

My most supporting cousin.

I remember what she told me during Chinese New Year.

She is ever so friendly, out-going.

But we lost her just a blink of eye.

I missed you very much.

You look totally so different before you're sick and in the wake.

After reading the obituaries, I cried at the wake.

My aunt then gave me the article about her story.

I thought I can control my tears but apparently I couldn't.

I didn't realised how much I love her until I lost her.

SINGAPORE (AFP) - - Singapore's founding father Lee Kuan Yew and his son Premier Lee Hsien Loong sought "unprecedented" damages Wednesday as the trial of an opposition leader for defamation came to an emotional climax.

The Lees, stung by two days of cross-examination by Chee Soon Juan, secretary general of the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP), asked a Supreme Court judge to punish the pro-democracy activist for his behaviour in court.

Their lawyer, Davinder Singh, said Chee acted like a "hooligan" and exhibited "loutish behaviour" when he grilled the two leaders on the witness stand and ignored the judge's admonitions about his manner of questioning.

Singh said that despite a court injunction, Chee repeated allegations of corruption against the Lees in court and posted them on the Internet, an action that merits an "unprecedented award" of damages.

"The case for substantial damages is very compelling," he said.

Chee, summing up his defence, told the packed courtroom he stood by everything that was written in a party publication at the heart of the case, but added he harboured no personal hatred against the Lees.

"I do not hate Lee Hsien Loong, I do not hate Lee Kuan Yew and I do not wish them ill for what they have done and continue to do to me and my family," he said.

Chee had been found guilty of defamation over allegations of government corruption made in an SDP newsletter ahead of general elections in May 2006.

The SDP and Chee's sister and fellow pro-democracy activist Chee Siok Chin were named as co-defendants.

Defence lawyer M. Ravi, representing the SDP, said the Lees only deserved to be awarded a token 50 Singapore cents (37 US cents) because their reputations were not hurt by what the SDP and the Chees said.

Hearings were held this week to determine the amount of damages and the Lees took the witness stand to press their case, allowing the defendants to cross-examine them.

Chee, acting as his own lawyer, used strong language as he questioned the record of the Lees and the necessity of strict political controls in Singapore, now Southeast Asia's most economically advanced society.

The Lees -- the father was prime minister from 1959 to 1990 and his son came to power in 2004 -- dismissed Chee's attacks and said he further damaged their reputations during the cross-examination.

The Lees and other Singapore leaders have won hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages from lawsuits against members of the country's tiny opposition.

Chee is already bankrupt after failing to pay 500,000 Singapore dollars (365,000 US) in libel damages to the elder Lee and another former prime minister, Goh Chok Tong, for remarks he made in the 2001 elections.

SINGAPORE: Another child has been hospitalised with encephalitis or inflammation of the brain after contracting the Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD).

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said the 10—year—old boy had been in contact with an active HFMD cluster in his school.

He developed symptoms on May 19 and was seen by a general practitioner who diagnosed the disease.

After he developed seizures on May 23, he was admitted to the intensive care unit the same day. His condition has since improved, and he is now in a general ward.

The boy’s throat swab tested positive for Enterovirus 71 — which MOH said continues to show a high circulation, with 32 percent of the samples tested positive for the virus so far this year.

The latest development came amidst a declining number of HFMD cases. It fell by 22 percent to 729 cases in the week ending May 24, compared to 940 cases reported the week before.

The total number of infections so far this year stood at 13,401. Twelve cases required hospitalisation because of poor feeding.

Last week, two preschools and childcare centres were ordered to close for 10 days, while another five were advised to close voluntarily to break the chain of virus transmission.

SINGAPORE: Emergency relief efforts in parts of Myanmar’s Irrawady Delta are still at Stage One, four weeks after Cyclone Nargis battered the country’s south. And time is running out for the farmers if they are to plant the next season’s rice crop.

That’s the assessment of a Myanmar—based Singapore—listed company, Yoma Group, which has employees bringing aid to some of the worst—hit Delta regions.

Local employees of the investment holding company made their way to a village on Hainggyi island.

Serge Pun, Chairman, Yoma Strategic Holdings, said: "I’ve never seen something like that. It’s really bad. The amount of devastation, the severity of it was unprecedented in Myanmar."

Mr Pun said a lot of the farmland has been destroyed by salt water and silt. He warned that if surviving villagers are not re—settled within three weeks, they will miss the planting season and will not have any income for the next seven months.

Yoma is the first private company the Singapore Red Cross is working with in its Myanmar relief efforts. And together, they aim to distribute the much—needed aid, some of which is still held up in Yangon.

There is already a Singapore government medical team based in Twante, about two hours from the capital. But for the Yoma Group, they have direct access into the worst hit part of the region, which is the southern part and it is only accessible by boat.

Thus, turning to the local supply chain for help made perfect sense.

Christopher Chua, Secretary—General, The Singapore Red Cross, said: "They’ve got resources and people on the ground, so that’s why it’s easier for them to get through.

"And up till now, until recently, they did not allow us to get into the delta region. So that’s why we have to look for other avenues to get our aid to the Myanmar people."

By last Friday, Yoma and the Red Cross had delivered four pre—fabricated medical barracks to Ngapudaw, Hainggyi Island and Hlaing Bone township in the Delta region.

This brings the number of temporary medical buildings the company has set up in affected areas to six. Yoma has also deployed 1,000 staff, all Myanmar nationals, to help in relief efforts

I went to help out in the Special Olympics health screening yesterday..

When I was watching their performance, I felt that, normal people like us might not be able to performed as well as them..

Some have to lie in the Sun to perform..

If it were some of us, you might be thinking of the heat on the ground rather then focusing on the performance..

I felt quite touched after it..

Yesterday wasn't wasted..

But morning was indeed WASTED waiting and going for stupid talks..

After lunch, things became better..

Why do I ignore?

Why do I show no concern on stuffs?

Why?

Firstly, it is not something that I'm willing to take up..

Secondly, I am not updated in a way or two.. Not that I want to dump someone there and answering all the things. I got no ideas on matters, no one bother to include me, update me. How you expect me to ask when I don't even know it exists. I don't know stuffs, of cause I don't dare to speak up. I'm am not lost. Just that I know NO STUFFS.

Thirdly, Since you decided that other party knows more than me and is more reliable though you will get the same answer from me. Using "just some matters", you mean we're under the same family, you can't reveal some IMPORTANT stuffs?

Fourthly, allowing people to malign and keep quiet means you agree to it. So you agree actually. With the fact that you are the one causing it.

Fifthly, I thought decision making should be done together? But why? And such a ridiculous decision is made.

Sixthly, knowing that including me is not a choice, as it is left with no choice. Got a better candidate, but not qualified. But if you going to treat me as a vase, I take it. Allowing people to critise me and kept quiet hurts me.

Lastly, I have learn how to differentiate friendship and work. Came to realise, what have been done contributes to the factor "work", friendship remains 0%.

Maybe I regard friendship as a heavy factor for motivation and life.

In friendship, I give 50%, you can give me only 10%, I am not calculative. But when I give 100% and I realised I had 10%, it matters.. Cuz I felt like a fool thinking you are regarding me as a true friend, that's why I gave 100% and ended up being a fool.

My hairstylist die last week, due to heart attack. My cousin is dying due to cancer.

People who heard this might say "Ya! So let's live our life to the fullest!"

So does it means if I die of choking on my saliva, or maybe my tooth drop and I choke on it, or electrocuted by my com, or die when my ceiling crash on me... AIYA! means if I die today or tml.

Cuz I'm having my life(of 21 years) greatest regret now, not living my life to maximum as I'm burying myself in a pile of SH*T and I don't understand what is living life to maximum..

Ever tried doing something but always ended up failing?

I will say "never." if it was during my secondary school days..

Somethings may required a few tries before getting near the goal, if you believe in it, you will somehow get there..

This morning I woke up at 645am..

Slapped myself..

I'm late for school and there's a test today in lecture..

Lesson at 8am anyway..

I remember I set my alarm yesterday night..

Happily forgetting my old phone's alarm doesn't go off once it's in silent mode..

Yea.. Indeed, the stupid phone is in silent mode..

What happened to my Sony Ericsson? LCD gone.. In Ubin again.. $135!! Aww.. So ex can! But no choice I love my phone!~

So I managed to chiong out of house at 707am..

Walked to Buangkok since it's faster and nearer..

Suddenly, a thought came to me.. Take cab to school..

I waited stupidly at the mrt exit for a "green" and "available" taxi until 730am!

So when the cab is getting nearer to CTE, I can see cars are stationary FROM FAR!

I decide to take a bus at Ang Mo Kio instead...

Before I reached the bus stop, two bus 74 went off.. =____="

I saw 74e behind and I thought I couldn't take that bus..

So one NON AIR-CONDITIONED 74 came..

Packed like sardines..

On the way there, I suddenly realised Singapore has alot of cars..

Cuz it's jammed like nobody business..

I reached school at 845am..

What a great timing!

When walking to lecture hall, I decided to get my sunkist orange juice at the SIM foodcourt..

DUH! They have ALL flavours except sunkist orange..

I got blackcurrant juice instead, drank 1/3 of it and stuff it into my bag..

Walked over to LT 50 and huiru told me not to go in..

So I sat outside and waited for lesson to end..

I fished out my blackcurrant juice..

And to my amazed.. It's empty!

First question came to my mind : "Did I finish it without knowledge?" or "Did it leak into my bag?"

Woooo!~

It leaked into my bag and with crumpler as water proofed, MY BAG HAS A POOL OF BLACKCURRANT JUICE!

PDA luckily did not spoil.. Just everything in my bag is SOAKED with blackcurrant juice!

Well.. At that point of time I'm super down..

Down to basement 15? Ha ha..

But I told myself..

"For whoever is making fun of me, I shall not feel angry or cry. If I did, I've lose"

My dearest friends helped me cover up for my most worried matter for today..

So why should I feel sad?

Anyway after that in tutorial, no matter how many times I draw lots, it still kena me..

In the evening Huiru, Jason, Jason's girlfriend and I watched "over her dead body"..

In the end, people are late.. and gone.. We can't accomplish our task..

Saturday was a long day again..

I've told linn I will call her back as I was in the midst of blue uniforms..

And I didn't..

Cuz my phone went dead in the night and things was too rush, I only remember it when it was around 1am ..

Huiru called me on Sunday morning..

"Just drink when you are thirsty," was the advice from a study published Thursday in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.

Doctors from the University of Pennsylvania said "there is simply a lack of evidence in general" that everyone should drink the recommended 1.5 litres of water a day.

Researchers Dan Negoianu and Stanley Goldfarb had examined the theory that drinking more water helped the kidneys flush more toxins from the body.

"So the question is does drinking more water increase these normal important functions of the kidneys. And the answer is no," Goldfarb told NPR radio.

"In fact, drinking large amounts of water, actually and surprisingly, tends to reduce the ability of the kidney to function as a filter."

Water has also been touted as an ideal aid to those who want to lose weight. But while drinking more helps dieters feel full, no clinical study has proved that it will help keep the weight off.

"There were some studies that suggested that in fact, calorie intake was reduced when individuals were given water prior to eating. Other studies suggested that it wasn't," Goldfarb added.

Increased water intake was only really justified in extreme cases, such as for athletes, people living in hot, dry climates and those suffering from particular illnesses.

Sunday, went to botanic garden to help out in being station masters for the family games conducted by Sanyou for the Maha Bodhi Pri Sch Students.. I can't believe I still see the teacher of mine there.. Almost 9 years ago when I was in that sch..

Woke up at 6am.. Thanks Law Sir for the sms.. Hahaha.. =D

Meeting Mr Ambrose at Orchard Mrt, he called me at around 715 when I was at Dhoby Ghaut and HE JUST WOKE UP!

We supposed to meet 730 lor.. =________="

So I went alone to Orchard Mrt and figure my way there.. All along I thought we got to take bus at the stop opposite goodwood park..

I turned out to be at the wrong place, I even went over to another stop in front and wrong again..

Then I realised it's the bus stop behind Borders..

I'm going crazy at the point of time lor..

SUPER FAR CAN!

So again, I walked all the way from DFS to the correct stop..

Took a bus and alighted near gleneagles..

Walked for 30mins to the vistors centre, and it's so called "5mins nice morning walk" by some people..

To be exact, it was supposed to be 20mins walk actually, I guess I took the wrong way and ended up going big rounds before I get to the visitor's centre..

And I took 1hr from Orchard Mrt to reach Visitor's Centre.. I thought I'm the first to reach, but apparently, I'm the LAST!~

SIAN! Hahaha!

I enjoyed this event, really enjoyed, you doesn't have the burden as VI, only a simple helper.. Okay lar.. VI burden also not much lar.. But you doesn't have to worry about logistics, basically EVERYTHING.. Just know how your station games going to be is more than enough.. Though I last minute kena PS to another group with Evelyn, she is a nice lady too..

I like to work with adults, caused they are more caring for young people like US! *laughs!*

Basically, we went to MOS for batchmates gathering cum yuching's performance..

Oh! Funny thing happened to Vincent again..

The person checked his student ID and told him..

So he went on to his identity card..

And basically the person checked all his card in the wallet which says

Without having to worry about meals..

With the friends that ain't bad influence..

Don't you have friends shopping in Orchard Road almost everyday but crying "I'm broke" everytime? A $20 worth of meal to them is EXPENSIVE yet they can get a $400 worth of Gucci purse without blinking their eyes?

It's high time for me to visit a doctor..

Today I almost fainted again..

In the ward somemore..

Suddenly everything's spinning and I can't hear things again..

I started to sweat and became very uncomfortable..

Felt nausea..

I think my lecturer and some friends was shocked..

They suspect I'm hypoglycemic..

Blood pressure was as low as 90/50 but sugar level were fine..

It's for patients mostly with End Stage Renal Failure..

As salt is one of the factors that is causing renal impairment..

It makes me think twice today..

When looking at my patient, feeding him through the Nasogastric Tube, it makes me think..

"Will I want to be on feeding tube when I'm old?"

When helping patients who undergoes Hemodialysis regularly, their hands have big bumps caused by long term dialysis..

"Will I want to be undergoing dialysis when I'm old?"

Of cuz, the answer is "NO!"

So what should I do to prevent?

I must exercise, I must stop consuming so much salt.. I must remain healthy..

So as what I said, I want to go:

- Mahjiong
- Kbox
- Vacation
- Bowling

I got 5 in my list.. I'm sure I'm going to complete my Ubin Cycle right after my attachment, Red Cross stuffs shall be the 2nd/3rd/4th priority.. Schools stuffs will not be bothering me during holidays..

Next, I will jio people go vacation..

If impossible, I will ask people come my house and play Mahjiong..

Then, I will find people to go bowling or Kbox..

And something where you will always hear me say or see me typing.. Kayaking!

Within the stated 1000mg (2tablets) paracetamol 6hrly..

I took 2000mg (4tablets) paracetamol within 2 hrs..

So I took the 2 tablets at 220am..

The past few days I've been drinking and drinking..

Eh.. No no.. I not a good drinker.. So my liver doesn't need to work extra hard..

Yesterday was slacking day again..

I went to donate blood with WJ, law sir and vin! =D

vin everytime very suay.. it's like everything we do, he usually the one's who can't qualify to do it de..

vin shall go with us the next time we eligible to donate lar.. Haha..

I think the nurse see my face they scared liao.. =X

Again, they think my vein very fine and it's difficult to prick..

So they tried to take from another site rather the usual one..

After she successfully got the big needle in, she turned to her colleague and felt so relieved..

And I saw it..

I didn't see a visible bruise on my arm yet..

Law Sir and Vin went ahead for the VI meeting, so left WJ waiting for me to finish donating..

Then... We super free, cuz no need to attend VI meeting..

So we walked around Chinatown and eventually settled for food at PS kopitiam.. =___="

Then go over to HQ to zhuo bo..

Eventually, Joan, Brose, WJ and I went to watched The Mist..

It was a nice show!

But the ending quite unexpected..

Just nice after the show we go back to HQ for meeting..

Went for prata for dinner and con't the day with Mahjiong..

The last few days, it was super sunny in school.. No one understand my urge of going kayaking..

I wanted to go so much that I felt so uncomfortable in lectures..

Maybe not going kayaking.. But at least go under the sun and do some sports..

I seriously missed the "training" at RCYC ubin mountain biking..

Forcing yourself to finish the super tough route (for me lar) really can burn fats lor..

I burned 4kg of fats away during that time..

But lucky I only gained 1.5kg so far...

Whatever it is, after exams, or after attachment, I'm going to make GOOD USE of my water venture membership..

Go kayaking or cycling until I CHAO TA I ALSO DON'T CARE!

At last I persuaded her to play bowling with me..

My class end super early at around 945am..

So meet the woman and go marina AGAIN..

Went to this Japan Restaurant..

We went to Kbox and K songs from 2pm all the way till 6pm..

After that plan to have dinner at stadium's KFC.. But the queue is so long that we don't want to wait any more..

After that tried to drive from stadium to my hse..

At first I thought we'll be lost, but well!

We managed to find the way to my house from the stadium!

But well, as the paramedic said.. Nurse and Paramedic is very different.. But I got benefits cause I have the knowledge on drugs and all..

I know I'm someone that can't stay in a stagnant situation like ward setting for long..

I need exciting life.. Haha!

I mean challenging lar..

But in Singapore.. Paramedics not so challenging anyway..

Hmm.. BUT I NEED TO PASS NAFA~
